In addition to supporting Undergraduate Healthcare students and academic staff with clinical numeracy, SN@P Assessment & Education offer support with the development and assurance of competent Literacy skills from admission to graduation of UG Healthcare programmes.

Key areas the literacy resources aim to support include:

  • Preparation for pre-admission literacy assessments to UG Healthcare Programmes
  • Developing specific literacy skills required and tailored to UG Healthcare programmes, i.e.
    • Assignment writing
    • Critical writing
    • Academic writing
    • Report writing and analysis
  • Preparation for year-end assessments and assignments contributing towards achievement of UG Healthcare degrees
  • Reducing academic workload through offering a range of literacy resources to support both formative and summative assessments, topics include:
    • Dealing with verbs, nouns, adjectives, plurals and many more...
  • Supporting students where English is their second language

The functionality within the SN@P Assessment platform can be utilised to capture progress monitoring data and achievement in the same way it is used for clinical numeracy. The platform has been developed to allow for MCQ and free text style questions within any literacy assessment created on SN@P.

Take advantage of the robust assessment platform when testing literacy with your new/existing students and make use of your own literacy questions through adding them to your SN@P custom question bank, as well as the range of questions within the SN@P literacy questions banks.
